in my instruction manual there is an accessory you can buy to panel mount the usb port, but the manual doesnt give a name of the part, and I can't turn anything up on google.

Does anyone know where to buy one of these? I have a usb cable i want to panel mount.

Kenwood CA-U1EX .... sadly its a whole kit, so naturally I have to buy stuff i dont want.
They'll get money out of you anyway they can...

 

Go to a local shop see if they have something laying around, you might get for cheap.
