Why so quiet??
My freind owns a 1971 cutlass. He recnetly installed a subwoofer (12 inch pioneer ts-w306r) in an inclosed box with an 800 watt max power pioneer mono amp. He installed everything right, but i really expected this to be alot louder then it is. it sounds like the subwoofer is barely making any bass at all. Could this be because it is an older car, therefore there is more resistance going towards the amp?? ( 4 ohms instead of 2 ) Any help would be greatly appretiated.

I have already played with the settings on the amp, and once it is turned up to full power, it sounds better, but not at 100% i dont think. The sub also looks like it is moveing alot, so i will suggest a smaller box to him. Thanx
Or what about the settings coming off the deck, like a subwoofer GAIN control....Alot of the newer aLpines, and kenwoods have it and its hardly ever turned up!! I know I did an install and this was the problem...Just a suggestion
