I cant believe this post... obviously Cavy man hasnt ever worked in a shop before and doesnt understand the fact that knowledge is worth money! or the costs of running a shop

first of all most places charge an average price..so the 30 min. it takes to do a 2 door cavy makes for the time it takes to install a 2 door civic with the crappy plastic gromet and teh pain ion the as$ door jamb to feed the wires through... now sure parts are cheap. but if you are a shop owner then you also need to account for all the time that you sit on your as$ doing nothing because customers dont come in to spend money 24/7
and the installers still need to get paid ..oooh forgot hydro...just cause no customers are in the store cant shut off the lights... never mind...
andyways...thats my 2cents worth

props to Selective!

Cavy... I was the guy that tried to be nice to everyone so they didnt have to spend big bucks to have the toys... now Im closed... take that as something to think about

buddy looking for install

component install is average price around $100 so where you got quoted $150 is a bit high

Car Audio HAVEN... Brampton does an excellent job 905-459-bass or is it 416... anyways..if you want give them a try

but maybe 30 min tops to do the door locks then LOL,the 3 problems on sunfires and cavys i find is getting the wire run from the passenger door to the drivers side makeing it look very neat etc.

and doing the passlock 1 using the DEI 555L,i forget sometimes when im not using a DEI RS and the Purple wire must see a (-) so i forget where it goes and have to wire up a relay for it.unlike the DEI R/S's that have this wire in there units thats just matching it up.

Where to mount the brain, since its so open under there and that damn plastic panel under the steering wheel doesn't come off.So to get your hands and body under there is challage.
hint:
for that problem why not just take apart the plastic that covers the steering wheel shaft or hub whatever you wanna call it( the one that also covers the key cylinder) that exposes your PASSLOCK wires and your whole complete ignition harness... which you can even unplug and pull out a bit( dont forget to undo the snap clamp about 6" away from where it plugs into the key cylinder) to make life much easier for you on your next install

O i wasn't talking about that,i just remove the the 3 7mm bolts holdering the bottom shroud on and then snap the top off and use my 4" vise scrips and remove the til lever.

I was talking about that long pastic panel under that that can only come out when you remove the steering coloum.

See i was brought up don't take people for everything they are worth. My Grandpa was in the Mechanic game 40+ years.I remember that if you could'ed pay him there on the spot you could pay him latter on.Be helping at the shop or giveing your tv untill you came back.

Now he did have the ones that did the runners, that he cut his looses on.But he still had a nice big home and his wife always had a nice car well he would drive what ever he could just to get to work.

O and i have work in a shop before i know how its run,i don't see one problem when it comes to doing HU installs Multi media installs etc.As theres prices set in stone for years.$50 a hour for that HU install $25 to install those new Coax speakers etc

$20 for that meta harness fine
$20 for the mounting kit fine

But the hole alarm/RS thing i just don't know what to charge,
