wiring help

did i wire this right

i have a rockford T400-2 (2 channels - 4ohms each)
to a dual 4ohm VC alpine type-r

positive of channel one to positive terminal on box
negative of channel two to negative on box

in the box i have the two voice coils bridge together and one wire from the positive and one from the negative to the inside terminals on the box

i think this should be running at 2ohms right now?

please let me know if i am wrong and what to do to correct it

I'll try to help, from what you are saying you're running your sub in series and that would show an 8ohm load to the amp.Parallel would show a 2ohm load where positive of vc 1 connect to vc2 pos than connect to pos inside box, same for neg. Im a newbie and it sucks not getting answered but through all my searching if come across alot of wirring questions and answers. If you did a search you should find answers everywhere or check out a website like JBL,MTX or Crutchfield for wirring diagrams. Make sure your amp is 2ohm bridgeable and definetly wire 4ohm dvc in parallel.
