Wiring help / Suggestions

Hi,

i have a Kicker Kx600.1 amp and i want to buy two JL 12w3v3 12'' 2 ohm subwoofers, do you think my amp will have enough power to run both of those subs? and how would i wire both of those subs to get a resonable Ohm rating so i don't blow them up i want to get 2 ohm, 1 ohm will be way to harsh on the amp and sub

any help would be greatly appriciated.

Side Note- I am not willing to buy another Amp but am taking suggestions on subs, but i am pretty interested in the JL's

cheers

Thumbs up

There are other woofers you could consider but no matter which brand if you get 2 of them make sure they are the 4ohm single coil version. That amp is not rated or recommended for less than a 2ohm mono load and will not do anything extra into the lower impedance.....

If you want to stick with JL for the same $$ you can get a 12W6 Dual4ohm coil sub.....box size would be smaller and the SQ in the right ported box is pretty nice.....

so,

If i get (Two) JL 12W3v3 12'' 4-ohms

They should run fine with my KX600.1 when they are all hooked up what will be the running Ohm's on them and how would they be hooked up?

cheers

Drivers wired in parallel for a net 2ohm load.

If you have the space port them.....the results should be verra nice....

If space is an issue I would even do 2 of the 10" ported rather than sealing the 12s....that line of drivers are much better ported.......

Agreed, Wire them in parallel for 2 ohms and definitely port them.

Wicked subs also, very clean looking and the sound is awesome.
