Which 1,000W amp?

A decent quality (Stinger, KnueConcepts, Tsunami etc.) 4ga kit should cost around $80-100....spend the extra for the brand name, power wire is one thing you can't cheap out on. They will come with all the wire, connectors, RCAs etc. you need to do the install.

If you are planning to add another amp later I would suggest you get a 2 ga kit....you will need the extra capacity and it's cheaper to install it once....

AWG = american wire gauge. it deals with the thickness of wire. the thicker, the more current can flow, the better.

for your needs, you are looking at getting a quality 4awg wiring kit.

this is the one i would suggest for you:
4 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit

do you plan on running another amp in the future? if so, you will need a couple more items to make it work
