Wiring question Kenwood hu and 2003 sx2.0(neon)

my friend got his stereo installed at a local shop and now that he's changed cars (now a 2005 Civic SI) he wants his hu from the neon installed into his civic... I've been looking at the harness connections (to hu and to car harnesses) and wondering why the blue/white wire from the hu is connected to the blue/white wire from the to car harness... Isn't the blue/white wire supposed to be connected to the remote wire of his amp? When I took the huu out of his neon for him I don't remember where the remote wire was run to... Does anyone know if the to car wiring harness for his civic needs the remote wire from the hu connected to it? If you need anymore info or even pics of the neon/kenwood wiring job just ask...

So the blue/white would go to the power ant. aswell as the remote wire?

no. if he has a power antenna then connect the blue and white to the power antenna. If he doesn't have a power antenna then do not connect the blue and white at all. Just connect the blue wire.

Then what would I run his remote wire off of?
