hey everyone what's up!
hey this is Jarod down here in Baton Rouge Louisiana. i am a growing or learning audiophile and sq junkie. I am on the quest to build the greatest sounding stereo system that i can and learn as much as possible along the way and hope to meet some people that share my enthusiasm as well. Right now this is what i am working with. 2008 chevy crew cab truck. i have an Eclipse 5030 head unit and Rockford Power series T600-4 for my front stage and a Rockford T1500-1 for my subs. For front stage i recently installed Rockford's new T3652-s 6.5's and i must say they are FREAKIN AWESOME! iI am coming from Focal's Polyglass line. The 165 VR is what i have which is their top mid level offering. I really loved the woofer but for me the tweets left a little something to be desired but overall i liked them very much but i have to say man the Rockfords are badass. They have gobs of midbass and the tweets are made of the same material as the woofer so the blend very well even seperated. I have recently made fiberglass kick panel enclosures for them and have the woofer only in them right now and HOLY MOSES the kick panels totally brought out the sound in my truck. I mean i figured they were going to sound better but it truly is like night and day. I am hoping to move the tweets down into them today if i have time. I am worried it's going to drop my stage to low though but i guess i'll see. I currently have two 10" T3 audio T-400's under my backseat in a sealed down fire box and they sound pretty good but i am loking to change to a single 12" sub in a custom sealed box soon.Well this is a run down on my current set up and enough to read for now but i would love to talk with anyone building a 07-13 chevy-gmc truck to chop up ideas. Thanks and look forward to talking to you guys!:)
