Hello all new to this forum, we'll pretty new to any forum lol,
Was hoping someone cud help me?
I have recently been looking at subs and amps on eBay, and I've decided I'm going to go for a pair of jbl gt5 12" subs in a ported box as they seem to be good for the money, unless your have a better opinion, no more than a 100 quid a sub as I'm not minted,
I would like to no wat amp wud be best to power these as I'm not whiz when it comes to this.

Also have a 5000w wiring kit 0awg, was told it was good?

Hi Luke and thanks for ur reply, it will be going in a mk4 golf, what do u mean by my goal? I just want a god bassy set up that wnt cut out when I turn it up like my last one, I listen to prog jungle and d&b music if this helps, also have a capacitor if makes any difference

by goal I ment what you wanted the setup to do , the zero gauge kit will be a good start , especially if you can do the big 3 under the hood , and add another ground in the rear of the vehicle , 2 12s will work very well , I would suggest a slot port type enclosure , or a precision port design subs and port firing up , a pair of those will work just fine , I would suggest purchasing them in a dual 2 ohm configuration if possible that way you your not wired to low , and your electrical wont have any issues , otherwise if they only come in a dual 4 configuration your going to want to look for a 1 ohm stable amplfiier because at 4 ohm the rise will hurt your power big time especially with box rise ,

these guys make a nice 1000 watt amplfier for around what your wanting to spend



would give you 750 to 1000 watts at 1 ohm that would ideal for what your wanting
