Those guys running the telethon should have cut him off at this point. The guy looks like he is about to cry as he goes off on this anti-American/Bush tangent. He sounds like a stuttering moron doing so. This is like a slap in the face to all the people that are trying to help out the situation down in N.O..

Some of you may have seen the image where a white couple "find"s a loaf of bread while in another image a black man with a garbage back is said to be "looting". Everybody out there is making an assumption that the media is biased/racist.

Anyhow, those people that call that issue out don't realize that it doesn't mean anything. The pictures along captions each came from different sources. Even if the captions came from the same source it doesn't mean that the same person wrote the captions.

Not to sound rascist or anything like that b/c I am not but most of the people in New Orleans are blacks/minorities(spell). So when there is break in or "looting" going on of course it is going to be a black person. The areas hit hardest are the poorest in the area so they are going to do anything to survive with aid being slow to help them.
But most blacks in North America think that it is still back in the days of seggragation. This isn't totally true. But where this happened is in the deep south where most of the oppression took place years ago. So there are going to still be some feeling about whites have there place and blacks theres. So some news is getting passed along with a side view while those who report it wouldn't admit to this.
I can see what Kanye is saying but he should flip the situation around and try to see it from someone else eyes. With a place of mass appeal to young people and "blacks" he should choose his words more carefully. Blasting the president isn't the greatest thing to do in a time of need to people of that country.

I don't like Bush so it was funny to see Kayne start to rant. But, once he started pulling the race card he just looked ignorant! Instead of saying "Bush doesn't care about black people" he should have said "Bush doesn't care about the American people". I would have been totally in agreement with him had that been his choice of words.

Kayne also hesitates to mention that "His People" are down there with shotguns and sniper rifles shooting at doctors, police, and rescue workers... he kind of forgets about that part in his little rant to the world!

Also, in the pictures that started all this controversy. I saw two white people. The girl had a loaf of bread and some pop. Then I saw the pic of the black dude. Holding a pack of pop, and dragging a huge buldging duffle bag of crap behind him in the water. I'm not pointing fingers, but it's clear the two white people needed something to eat.

Maybe the black guy thought he needed the whole grocery store? You can however, look at the pics and judge for yourself.

wow!!!! i haven't been watchin anymore cause it's way toooooo sad for me. yes i did cry, but who wouldn't. i feel sorry for everyone over there, but mostly all the children. as a mother myself i think i would do just about anything in that circumstance to see that my son had something. but what do i know, i ahve never been in that situation nor do i ever want to. anyways back to the topic about kayne.i have to agree with Mreastside. but while i was watchin the vid i laughed a little , not about what kayne said or the horrible circumstance, but the look mike kept givin him every so often, it was like omg i can't believe you just said that. anyways i have to go for now and work on my sub box to try and keep my mind occupied..take care

I bet if you were black you wouldn't say that it doesn't mean anything.

I used to work with an Ex-Truck driver from NB who ran up and down the US east coast and made tons of stops in that area in the 15 years he was driving. And for the most part the blacks there are very poor and they are still treated as second class citizens more then anywhere else.

in Canada we really don't see the racial separation that still exists in the states. I had the opportunity to drive down the east cost back in January, the most startling thing that I saw was the overwhelming amount of poverty, with 90% of the poor people that I saw were black. Every big city that I stopped off at, had a huge population of poor people. The majority of them being black. In Richmond, VA I was walking around downtown and you saw a large number of black people driving very nice cars with shiny wheels, but ever other store is a CashMoney or similar. Philadelphia was even worst, I was driving around the ghetto for a couple of hours straight just trying to find my way out of it, it just kept on going on and on without an end.

The people on the news in New Orleans are the ones that couldn't afford to get out, and now they're stranded there. Notice that most of the people on the news are black?

Slavery and segragation might be dead, but you can still see it's effects down south

personally i agree with kanyeze why might youse ask is because bush had to be told to get his ass down to n.o by the mayor b4 even responding to the situation like come on guys after seeing 9.11 do you really think bush gives a **** about neone or nething othere then his family ??? i sure dont and am sure there is gonna be some sorta biography on bush again by not responding to this situation quick enough they shouldve had ppl in n.o b4 the hurricane hit they knew it was coming and all the devistATION that this was gonna cause ??? well neways thats my opinion anyone else ...

RedZone 09-04-2005 09:34 PM

well kayne was being an ignorant fool.

releif takes time to get there. bush didnt just react because the major said something. Beliving that is just ignorant in its self as any leader of any contry would respond as fast as they can to a disaster like this.

some major problems that faced N.O. was

1. it flooded. its preety hard to get relief to an area that no longer has roads.

2. the huricane hit at a bad time where U.S. troops are already deployed in a large war which means resorces are short. helping there own is a big priority and is undergonig as we speek.

3. its only been a week!! jeeze organizeing 10,000 + tropps to help with relief takes time. its silly how bad people are reacting when they just need to wait.

once the troops get there everythign will calm down. with no athority people will run rampent.

well thats my rant
