The computer you mentioned above would be fine, you'll probably wanna grab the dvdrw or at least a cdrw (dvd can do cd's too). And you'll wanna go with at least 512mb ram. So those two upgrades i'd say would be worthwhile.
thanks allot all you guys for telling me what your opinions are and stuff another quick question though when i buy this pc i am gonna want it to be hooked to the internet if i buy an ethernet cable and hook my new computer to this computer will i be able to access the net or would i have to buy a wireless router ??? thanks ill post something else when i get some replies thanks guys
The only way that would work is:
- if your ISP offers two IP addresses and you connect one pc to the modem via usb and the other visa ethernet (assuming the modem supports it which not many do)
- if you have two network cards in the current pc that one can connect to the modem and the other to your new pc
- if (and teh best option) you buy a router, connect it to the modem and then each pc (wired or wireless) to the router.

haha now you're confusing me. You said your router has one ethernet and one usb port.
Did you mean your modem does?
If it does, you'll have to make sure your ISP provides you with at least two IP addresses. Then...give it a go, both pc's may or may not work (note you'll likely have to install usb modem drivers for the pc connecting via USB (hopefully it's a win xp machine).
As far as internet connection sharing with two nics....iv'e never actually done it myself, and dont' know a whole lot abou tit. You can probably find more info just searchign the web or from other people here.
