I don't know whether I have a BOV leak, bad actuator or bad solenoids, but I can't get my Lancer Shelby to boost, and I haven't had the time or means to put it down to have it thoroughly checked since I rebuilt it.
At least it has the stereo set up nicely.Good to see another TD'er surprisingly. Are you on that blasted TD.com as well? </font>
Im on turbododge.com and turbo-2.com under username Alberta_Daytona
Cant boost...must be painful on the highway....
replace all vac lines man....and get a g-valve....takes an hour. Make sure the waste-gate is hooked up to the actuator....common problem.
If you ever need parts let me know lol.
man...working in the garage when its -25 in the garage just sucks ***....I would kill for a heated garage..damn barn..

What's the difference between a 320 HP Supra and a 700 HP Supra?
About a tenth.
LOL, from a Mustang Cobra owner! </font>
very true. traction is hard to come by
We have a 10 second 700horse SBC, NA, race fuel, 81 Malibu. No stereo in it (gutted interior added cage) and not street legal.
The 97 T/A is street legal and does a low 12 second run on street tires and pump gas. Full Alpine/Audiocontrol SQ audio system.
TRK2LOUD has gotta have CCA's fastest member award though. Nice car.

good site, nice knowledgeable guys.
cant beat the versatility of a gbody for building a drag car
Well I've never really been bent on speed myself, except in video games. But...
A buddy of ours built two cars at our shop... We did all the electrical and helped out with everythign else...
One was a '69 Dodge Superbee. Black w/ flamejob when he bought it. When it was done it was "Sublime green" with the black stripes. 440 BB, blower, nitrous, straight axles, etc. etc. Still street legal (barely), he could drive it to the track and pull high 10's. Not bad for a 4000lb car eh?
The other one was my favourite muscle car, until Dave got a hold of it and butchered it... He bought it off a buddy, and it was fully restored, a '67 Olds 442 W30. BEEEEEeeeutiful car. Candy yellow. He bought it, then bought a brand new 455 and stuck it in there, very, VERY sweet. But then he wasn't happy and he wanted to track it, so he pulled that beauty 455 out and stuffed in a blown, nitroused mouse motor. Was fast but what a waste of a gorgeus car...

Some of the most beautiful cars ever built were from the late sixties. The ole' shelby cobra's were amazing. Even the replicas today can do 0-60 in 3.2 and whatnot.. which is on-par with a McLaren F1.
