Anyone feel that lil quake?
Even though I am in London and could be total Kowinky Dink, but I was on my couch not moving and felt my couch kinda shaking/moving for maybe 5-10 seconds .. I stopped to really pay attention and even my cat was kinda rocking abit... Then I hear on the new 4.2 mag earthquake in central ontario.. Now could just been after shock or something.. but Ive never felt my apartment shake before.... Anyone else feel it?
I used to feel those shakes when I worked at Sears, turns out it was just the big people that worked there walking to the bathroom/break and back.

Light earthquake shakes central Ontario

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - A "light" earthquake rocked a wide area of central Ontario Thursday afternoon but likely caused no damage, a seismologist with the Geological Survey of Canada said.
The quake, which hit at 5:16 p.m., had a magnitude of 4.2, said Janet Drysdale.
"This earthquake was likely felt by a large number of people in the region," Drysdale said.
"They probably got a good shake, but there wouldn't be any damage associated with this except for maybe a knick-knack that might have fallen off a shelf."
The U.S. Geological Survey estimated the quake's epicentre was about five kilometres beneath Georgian Bay, about 45 kilometres from Owen Sound.
Drysdale said the earthquake was "relatively deep, but we don't have good data to support that."
Earthquakes are recorded "every once in a while" in the Georgian Bay area, Drysdale said.
"We certainly don't have very many earthquakes in this region, and it catches people by surprise," she said.
"A magnitude 4.2 will definitely be felt by people and they'll feel a shaking. Because it's not something they feel every day, they wonder what it is - it may feel like a truck hitting their house."
Drysdale said the quake could have been felt up to 100 kilometres from the epicentre.
The quake was a non-event at Bruce Power's nuclear plant on the Lake Huron shoreline, about 100 kilometres from the epicentre.
Spokesman John Peevers said it was barely evident in his own Port Elgin, Ont., home, where some knick-knacks shook on the stove.
The reactors were built in the area partly because of low seismic activity.
The plant is to be notified in the event of an earthquake measuring greater than magnitude 5 that occurs within 500 kilometres of the plant's reactors.

Woooo Owen Sound lol. I wasnt in Owen Sound at the time, but my mom was in our basement and said it was quite loud, and it lasted quite a few seconds as well.
A question I've got, is what would that have felt like if you were right above the epicentre in the bay? Would you feel anything in the water?
