oh and I abandoned vinyl in the 90's since those degrade after repeating playback... Ill admit that regular CDs are too limited, but a 48kHz/24bit track (or higher sampling rate) in a DRM free lossless format is the "new school" and certainly doesn't sucks.

Still a beautiful piece, miss mines and my yamaha mj-100 mixing console.

Well mine is from 1986. The SL-1200 Mark 2 was introduced in 1979 so that is old skool my friend.

An digital recording/mastering sucks. Cant compare to analogue, it sounds way nicer.

Finally someone emailed me last week and said they just got one for sale.
The story goes, the guy who sold it to me works for a local electronics store.
He got the turntable from a local Church, which they didnt need any longer.
The table hasnt been hardly used - I guess they only used it for special occasions or on any given Sunday.. LoL.
Anyways, from the serial number, it looks to be made in 1986.
Like I said this thing is near mint ! I would rank it a 9/10. It has some very minot scratches on the dust cover probably from wiping dust off of it. The table has no nicks anywhere !
It came with an old skool Stanton 500 MKII cartridge.
That turntable is in beautiful shape, the story sounds like that car from the lady in Passedena though,.....

I know a little about turntables so I'm going to give you one piece of advise to extend the life of it............Don't put that "Men without Hats" album on it God, I hope I'm not too late, it is sitting next to the turntable.
