I think for anyone to comment just by watching that 5 seconds can't possibly know what actually happened, how about the 20 seconds before.......or the rest of the came........

It was a shot that went bad and that is all there is to it, Bertuzzi wasn't out to hurt the guy like that, it was pay back for the cheap shot Moore gave that went bad.........

can't do it all in one post? anyways...he planned on going down with him, that's why he threw another one when he hit the ice. He already did fight Cooke and beat him. Can't blame the guy for wanting to get some points instead of penalty minutes.

Something like this was bound to happen in hockey.

This is an everyday occurance people get into fights take cheap shots and someone occasionlly gets seriously hurt. They go to jail for it as well.

I honestly believe Bert should get some jail time for this. If this happened outside of the arena, he would be in jail no question asked.

Sure it's not like Bert had the intension to hurt Moore so severely but the fact of the matter is it was reckless and dangerous.

Bert is old enough to know better and a stiff punishment is what he deserves. Also to send a message to all sports that just because your playing pro sports does not make that kind of behaviour acceptable on or off the field.

Its time to set an example.

Now with all the being said as a Canucks fan, I wish it wasnt Bert in that situation. Good Luck Bert and Go Canunks Go!

Wouldn’t have happened if Moore wasn’t a coward, more then one person wanted to go with him that night, he just keep skating away, Bertuzzi wouldn’t let him go, what happened after the sucker punch (I”m not condoning the sucker punch) was not intended,

I’m just saying is moor should have stood up and answered the call to fight, and not been a , this is hockey not ringet.

I don't even watch hockey anymore just because of the crap like this.The last time I was at a game,there were bigger cheers for the fights than for the goals.What the hell??

I pay good money to see some multi-thousnad dollar players play a good clean professional style game of hockey.

Ever look at old footage of hockey?The old timers played with no helmets,min.padding and minimal scuffles...THATS A GAME OF HOCKEY!!

The only reason that players dress the way they do now is because of all the abuse they get from other players and because some dickhead here and there decides to take a fall when some one passes him and make it look like he got hit.

I'm sorry but pro sports has just become a contest of who can make the most money for doing the least and who can hurt who the most...

I wish I could get paid that kind of money for only working XX hours per year and when I am working being able to beat the crap out of who ever I see fit...good greif..

My 2 cents..

The Moore hit on Naslund wasn't cheap. So everyone stop saying it was. Naslund reached forward to poke check the puck with his stick. Making his head go down. Moore just finished his check. If Naslund would not have tried to poke check the puck he would have gotten hit in the chest. People might say why didn't he let up?? Cause it all happened in about 2 seconds.

As for what Bertuzzi did, it was wrong, revenge or not. Bertuzzi is supposed to be sort of an enforcer on the ice but this is crazy. He got 10 games last year for back hand chopping a guy in the face. So 2nd major offence, I say suspend him for at least the remander of the season and round 1 of the playoffs. The league also might want to make an example of him like they tried to do with Mcsorley and suspend him for the remainder of this season and all of next season. Who knows, only Colin Campbell does. So we will wait for his decission.
