Car Polishing & Waxing

So I spent most of the day giving the BMW a good cleaning, I used Mothers Clay bar on the entire car and holy crap does that thinkg work like a hot damn to get a car clean, lots of work but wow. But now what kind of wax to use?

I have some of the Mequires Gold Class paste wax but was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a good quality wax? Ive got a power waxer so I dont mind using a good paste wax. Suggestions?

Mothers
Meguiars
Zaino

Can't go wrong with any of those IMO.

I'm gonna try Turtle Wax Ice next. I've been hearing good things about it.

I'm into car detailing and polishing. The clay bar is an awesome product. I LOVE how smooth it makes the paint, if you use it properly. I have found Meguiars Gold Class liquid to be a decent 1-step wax that I would use on a daily driver that I'm not too TOO picky about. Otherwise I'm a big Zaino fan. Been using it since 1999. Love it. I'm also a huge fan of black, swirl-free paint. That can be a massive excercise in frustration though One thing to know though that it's not all about the polish or wax you use, but a huge factor is the materials you use to apply and remove it with and what you use to wash the car with.

I preferred the Meguier's Gold Class to the Mother's product (I use the liquids). I tried them both and ended up giving the rest of the Mother's to my neighbour.
This summer I ran out so I decided to try somthing new just for the hell of it. I tried the new Eagle 1 nano-wax and it is horrible. Really horrible.
I'm not finishing the bottle of Eagle 1 and it's back to the Gold Class for the winter protection.

I was very happy with Meguiars Gold Class until I used Meguiars NXT Generation Tech wax. It has a great finish and was very easy to use.

Friends of mine swear by Zaino, and it does look nice, but I like how good the NXT looks for how easy it is to use. No multi-step, no cleaner......... easy with a great end result.

The NXT rep did tell me that it was designed for dark cars. I don't know if that really matters. Both my cars are black and they both look good.

Later,
Brad
