Anyone use any car audio subs with good results for a DIY home sub setup? Im looking more to mix with music than anything, but will be used for ocassional HT duty.
Most of the car subs I have seen have a relatively high FS (some around 35 or so) So Im wondering, for a car sub are there any with somewhat low FS that are priced well? |
Well I'm not sure if this will help or not, but they have some nice woofers being used, and I'd like to try the IB design.

Why does it have to be a car audio sub? Why not go for with a raw home audio driver if you want a low FS. I seen some pretty cheap subs on solen.ca that will most likey have the specs your looking for.

Dude thats neat! I never even thought of that! lol

FS only tells part of the story... no reason a sub with an FS of 30hz can't play flat to 20hz... it just depends on the sub and the box...
some will be able to, some will not... |
