For those of you who like xmas presents and to those who believe in the whole its better to give than to receive if you were to receive no matter what ... Which would you rather?

A Gift or Money as a gift ? (gift cards, certificates, cash)

It depends. Sometimes a gift is useful, other cash is greatly needed. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

 

At Christmas time an actual gift means so much more than just cash. It means that the person is actually putting some thought into the gift instead of just saying "buy it yourself".

 

Correct, unless they give you something completely useless in which case money would have put you further ahead.
Give me a present but if you have no idea what to buy me then a decent gift card will do.

 

i would prefer money, becuse it can help me. gifts are good s well, but could care less this year if i get any gifts all i really want is cards... or to spend time with my family... or for jess to come down here again...

I prefer a gift card, as it shows that you could have gone and bought something (for instance, tools at CT) yet chose to give that person the money to buy the tools they might need. As opposed to going to CT and buying someone ANOTHER damn screwdriver set!!(or something like that)
