Same engine as the one in the s10/sonoma. Maybe check out www.s10forum.com or pick up an s10 manual.

junk.

the 4.3 is junk

went through 2 motors in a year back in 1995.
upgraded to a vortex 4.3 out of a 95 jimmy no worries.

if you want to really shock someone with your ride... go with a b16a 4 cyl engine... easily turbochargable to 500+ hp in a very light package.
turbo civic

www.astrosafari.com

Theres alot of info on there for performance 4.3 rebuilds and the 4.3L is far from junk!

But really why not just drop a 350 chev in her?

I do agree, the 4.3L is problematic, however if done proper it can be a star!!! Just like any engine I guess!!! But whynot go that extra mile and get something proven to be faithful and relaible? The 4.3 is not even a gas effiecent vehicle!! I had an 05' blazer and went through an engine and when we traded it in was begining to tick! I do admit I am hard on my vehicles!! lol..But with a Toyota your options are alot more open!!!
