We lost one of the few politicians who cared more about people than power the other day with the passing of Chuck Cadman. He went through the personal tragedy of his son Jessie's murder and decided to make a difference. Cadman was as non-partisan as they come, his political party was Canada and its greater good. We can only hope that in the future, more polititians will follow his lead and start putting Canadians and their families first over political agendas and backroom deals.

He was the sole indipendent MP in parliament and was the decinding vote on whether or not the liberals remained in power. Too bad more politicians did not share his type of politics.

^^Thats the thing though, all or most of the people speaking out for the various causes, don't try to make a difference until it personally affects them. And they expect us to support them just because they say so, except when they were in the same situation as us, most of them didn't give it a second thought. themselves. Not trying to take anything away from him.
