Ugh. If you checked fuses and all were good, that's not a good sign. I had a similar problem with my first install in an '89 Pontiac. Something shorted and I lost all my interior lights (dash and roof). Turns out I blew some solenoid thing. It took me forever to find the problem -talking to a couple of different GM dealers. One mechanic walked me through the usual questions, Have you tried *, *, *, * etc. Then he thought and said, it could be this. Pulled the solenoid off the shelf, and showed me where to find it on the car. $75 later and a lot of finicky work I had lights back.

My suggestion: If you have checked every fuse panel in the car (including the panel under the hood) go to a GM dealer and start asking the mechanics. They'll be able to get you on the right track.

well the mechanics are off for the weekend so ill have to wait. and hope my car don't cut out on me while im in edmonton. and will it lable the fusese under hood as to what is what and if so if it lable as sumtin im not sure of what should i look for. he only looked on the inside of my car. so maby its a blown fuse under the hood

The lid for the fuse panel under the hood should have a diagram inside it explaining what does what. I doubt that cruise-control is controlled under the hood, but its worth a shot.

Cruise is a luxury, not an essential component. Your car should run just fine without it. It just sucks to always have your foot on the throttle.
