I just downloaded the newest version of Firefox, and for some reason, instead of uninstalling the old version I had, I just deleted the whole folder from my c drive and emptied my recycle bin. And now I have the old version of the program showing up in the Add/Remove list, but I cant remove it because the files are all gone. Can somebody help me out and tell me how to get this off the list. Thanks.

If its all gone but still in the list XP should have recognized this and automatically removed it/gave you the option to remove the name from the list. It's done that to me several times with other programs.

Try installing the program again and then try uninstalling it the proper way that you should've done in the first place. Then do whatever it is in the beginning you originally wanted to do.

(My 2nd paragraph should work for a solution)

One way is to re-install and then unistall the proper way.

If that doesn't work you way need to use a registry cleaner program.

What ver of windows are you running?

I'm using WinXP.

I tryed to reinstall it as well, but i cant find the old version of Firefox anywhere. The website seems to only have the newest version, but ill look again anyway.

Do you remember what the version number of the old one was called I might have it

Its version 1.0, and I just found it on the webpage, so the problem is fixed. I guess I just should have looked a little harder. Thanks for the help.
