According to published performance figures, the Mustang GT would have a hard time keeping out of the taillights of an SRT4. Cobra would win but for the money you spend, it should.
What Ford dealership do I go to to look at the 5.0l Focus?
Can I get one for ~$27grand?
As for the 70Boss. It's an excellent example of a classic Pony Car. I prefer the 69 front end personally and it ranks in my top 3 for a muscle or pony car.
To say it was heads and shoulders above the GM and Dodge offerings of the day is lunacy however.

Cobra and SVT Mustangs won't be availible(sp?) till 2007.
The difference between the 69 and 70 Boss is the 69 had 2 sets headlights, one on the outside of the grill, the other set was inside....the other difference was there was only 500 something 69 Boss 429's built.....it's a much harder car to find. Boss 429's IMO are THE muscle car of muscle cars....the best representation of factory hot rods.....biggest motor availible in the lightest, best handling package car. Very distinctive lines compared to a 69-70 Boss 302 or Mach 1.....widened front end, factory spoiler....functional ram air style hood like the GT-500.
Excellent choice for a top 3 muscle car Dukk...I'm impressed, many Mustang guys don't know there was a 69 429 let alone a Dodge guy.

[/QB]</font>[/QUOTE]I had an '87 LeBaron coupe with the 2.2L 4 banger (the luxury version that was usually reserved for the more people with lots more "life experience") and I had no problems with V6 Mustangs and Camero's... ended up blowing a head gasket one day when I embarassed a guy with a Z28 who had his girlfriend next to him... ahh... memories...

THAT'S gonna compete with a Mustang? Unlikely, unless Dodge pulls thier usual crap and slams a Viper V-10 under the hood.

Tyler opened his mouth to attempt to defend his irrational love of GM products and you shoved both of your feet down his throat. Take it easy on the noob - they're not used to the punishment you bring upon yourself...
And I never said I didn't like Mustangs. Any 69fastback could park in my driveway any day and as I mentioned, the new ones are hot. I had a buddy with a 64-1/2 convertible. He got me into Ponies.
BUT aside from a couple of exceptions, it's gotta be
