Especially when it comes with a 5.0L and 5 gears to jam through.I like most old Chevs and Dodge just like evrybody else but nothing gets me going like a 71 Boss 302. Or even just a 70-73 fastback....My favourite muscle cars....I love more than Cuda's,Chargers, Chevelle's.....hell I like an old mustang more than I like an old rat rod....like a 32 ford, chopped and sectioned with a flathead....got nothing on an early 70's Mustangs....dead sexy, bullet proof and fast as hell even for a bone stock car.
Sorry...fast as hell compared to todays "muscle cars" what was the last car by Chevy, Ford or dodge to hit a 13.anything in the 1/4 mile?

"The '03 car ran to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds and cleared the quarter in 14.1 seconds at 102 mph. The '04 model nipped 0.3 second off the 60-mph sprint (5.3 seconds) and ran the quarter in 13.9 at 103 mph. Braking from 70 mph (169 feet), roadholding (0.86 g), and top speed (153 mph) were all about the same for both models."

weren't the early 70's clevelands? At least until they changed the damn style in 74.
My buddy had a 73 cleveland but it was auto. Then he traded it in for a sick 92 GT. Been around a lot of 5.0's in my 19 years O_o.
Brandon, I must agree...I do love going through the gears...but I drove my uncles road runner before. WOW. Now that is a car.

1971 to 1978 is a black hole for Mustangs.
And I'm surprised Brandon - I would have thought a Ford guy to know that the blown Cobra could sneak into 12s and was an easy 13 second car last year

it's the orange one, like i said, it's just a drawing, but i think it kicks on the other one

That Orange thing looks an aweful lot like a Cadillac.....I like the first picture of the charger though, the one in front of the old Chargers....still a 4 door but it's MUCH better than what the car looks like in the first pics that were posted
Well, like I said, besides the front end, the body lines on this rendering has the closest actual body lines from the original 69 style, like the crazy door line at the top, the roof line, rear window line the flat rear deck and the markings at the front of the door. I see the traditon of the car, not a caddy at all. I think it needs some kinda retro front-end to finish it off

[/QB]</font>
Sorry bout the late reply been out of town for a few days......yes, you're correct, I must have had the 5.0L(302) on my mind, the only BOSS built in 71 was the BOSS 351.....another very rare car....same body, basically, and it had the 351 powerplant.

Are you talking about the new Cobra thing they had on that show with that looser from 90210....what's it called? Rides?
I know nothing about the car itself, I've seen it, it looks dumb, and doesn't it use an Aluminum V-10?
I'm a ford guy but, you brought up something that I very much dislike about the new fords.....there using blowers to make power these days....what is that all about? Yea, it's an easy way to make power but you don't see Gm doing that with the Vette....infact GM hasn't even gone to overhead cams to make power as far as I know.....Ford needs to go back to their old theme of, big displacement in small, light cars/trucks instead of using 351C's with blowers....(correct me if I'm wrong, the 5.4 IS a 351C I believe)

5.4l is 329.5 cubic inches. a 351 would be about a 5.8l (5.752l)
And nope - I'm talking about the production SVT Cobra from last year. IIRC the last year of the Z28 could hit 13s too.
And the 71-73 are fugly too IMO. Flat nose, fat *** end, slow. Sounds like a bad blind date
