71-73 are beautiful....the last of the real Mustangs man.....till 79. And they weren't too slow....my dad did a mild cam before he decided to sell his 73...it would run mid 12's on premium.

yea, I don't doubt it....but that's another of the darker years for both cars....had the body change for Camaros I believe in 82-83.

and the fox body's weren't really fast factory cars to begin with.

 

The camaro and the mustang both went through rough performance times.
I had a 1981 camaro with a 267ci v8......BAH,
ripped er out and dropped in a 454 !
Right after i sold that car i bought a 1984 mustang gt 5.0 5 spd, and i guess i was spoiled with the power the camaro had cause i wasent impressed.
I think that year was only pushing about 170 hp though, If i had a big ole lincon motor layin around guess were i woulda stuck it!

Camaro's are by far one of my LEAST favourite cars....When there done right, they can be pretty cool looking and even fast, but there as heavy as 10 dead indians and I hate that the Firechickens, Transam's and camaro's all looked pretty much the same.

If Ford builds another Boss or Mach 1 mustang, I'd be so horny, especally if it comes with a turbo'd 460 like the Roush mustangs.

^^Very funny C'mon though, the camaro was always a nice car.
Ive ALWAYS been a gm guy for as long as i can remember but as far as the new cars, I'd take a dodge, or ford over a gm anyday of the week. [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]
