Okay, so my aunt called me up today and asked if I'd heard of this thing she's been thinking of getting for their RV...

She said the word chip, but it sticks ON your fuel tank, it's not a program chip for the ECM...

I was like WTF? Send me a link...

Has anyone heard of this? Is it just me, or does it look like total malarky to you too?

thats just as stupid as those idiotic magnets that supposedly help fuel economy.

I remember working at this dealership in Calgary, there were these little devices that cost $250 each, they let off this supposed electrical pulsing action, that was (so called) proven to stop rust... (how the hell does THAT work??)

Does it come with one of those green markers that make cd's sound better?

JRace 03-30-2005 08:13 PM

Yes and one of those magnetic wine aging devices.

Like the stickers that improve cellphone reception, or the things that inject platinum into your fuel so that it supposedly burns the gas more completely.

Coffeyman 03-31-2005 10:56 AM

theoretically.....yes
in the real world...no

science can say that it talks the talk, but when it comes to walking the walk it doesn't always strut it's stuff. if it did, they would have computer programs to make the perfect SPL car in any application.

Using BIOPRO’s Energetic Elevation Chamber (EEC), BIOPRO Econo-Gas Chips are charged with a proprietary blend of resonant frequencies. When properly applied to your vehicle’s gas tank, the Econo-Gas Chips transfer these frequencies onto your vehicles’ fuel.

Are they serious?

I didn't realise that the FDA regulated car parts...

I just emailed the guy and asked me for the methodology for the "testing" they did in Europe.

I can't wait to see what he has to say.
