Finding a job ?!?!
Finding a job ?!?!
So in about a month I'll be getting a piece of paper that says BSc.... and I need to find a job now that I'm finally done school... (W00T!)
Yesterday I called a guy Ive worked for before, and he is more then happy to hire me back to work around his classic Mercedes Benz car shop...
Its a sweet place to work... very easy going... but Im not exactly making $60k+ either....
Im looking to get into industry in Sarnia's chemical valley... but I might be willing to move pretty much anywhere for the right job.....
Does anyone have advice on landing a real job ?

A BSc is a Batchelor of Science. Pretty wide open unless one majored in something decent.
Aren't you already working in a "chemical laboratory"
I thought you were securing an engineering degree - most disciplines offer a community that affords career opportunities..

chemistry was my major, and I've had to work in a few labs to get the degree...... I know I mentioned some work with polymers before so that is what I was talking about.......
Id really like to find something that will help me get accredited as an engineer after I log in the hours it will take...... its just finding that job......

A meth lab seems like a natural to me!
theres a proctor and gamble plant and an invisita plant (used to be DuPont) both close to my city. both pay well.
i know a guy who used to work at invista as a chemist, he was making about $85-95K a year if IRC
i wouldn't be surprised if invista was looking for someone with a bsc with chemistry experience. they are a huge company (literally, they have their own police/fire/ambulance and are the size of a small town) and i know they pay well.

Got my hands good and dirty on some cars today.... and the guy Im working for at least has one lead for me that isn't retarded.....
I still want to hear about some real job finding strategies........
