Quick premise of what happened, friend was driving, hit a pothole on road. airbag went off...

there is no body or frame damage whatsoever, it was literally hit a medium size pothole in parking lot and airbags deployed for no reason...

dose she have any case for warentee or recall?? the dealership told her that she's gonna have to spend $2000 to get airbags fixed... to note, it's a 2003 mustang that she just bought a week ago...

Car has no warranty left? If the car has warranty still I would not be paying for those, no chance. It's obviously a faulty sensor or design.

 

Was this vehicle purchased by her new from the dealer or used? Has it been in a collision prior to this by her or the previuous owner if it was purchased used?
If it was purchased new by her then you need to go take immediate pictures of the pot hole and surrounding area and speak with a lawyer if the dealership is in any way not bending over backwards to help her. I have yet to hear of this complaint regarding this vehicle but it is a safety issue if there is a vehicle problem across the board.
If it was purchased used you need to find out if it has been repaired in the past and any collisions that took place. This will be the deciding factor on your next step.

 

If its the same as the 2000 F-150's I could take mine out, sticking a 10.4 in there anyhow not sure if they are the same size or not [img]smile.gif[/img] wait are you talking about the steering wheel or the glove box area one..

check ebay theres always some on there I'm told.

 

that beats my head on colission at 70km/hr in a 2001 grand cherokee and the air bag NOT deploying.....$25,000 damage to the front of the vehicle i was driving......u can use your imagination to figure what no air bag feels like in that.

 

I'd argue their *** all the way to court
