k i'm goign to whitehorse to viste family. what should i expect in term's of weather? i went onto the weather network's site and it does not look like it get's above +18. also what they offer in term's of entertainment. i would not mind going to a couple museums. i also heard that they have a diffrent age requirement for you to be able to get your license, would that affect me. i got my license here in alberta, i'm 17. so would i be able to drive my aunti's car/suv/truck(not sure what she drive's). now in term's of lighting how long does the sun stay up in the sky, i heard something like it's day light all the time thier except in the winter? is this true? i'm goign to go onto the whitehorse citie webb site and see what they have in term's of thing's i can do.

 

I have been to whitehorse many a time with my old job. Right now, expect it to be 24hrs of daylight. It can screw with your brain, sepcially when your drinking on the patio at 3am, and they make last call, and u can;t figure out why cause its so bright outside. its very strange. It can get pretty hot, but i can;t remember what the average temp is, its been awhile. As for winter, yea, its basically 24 hrs of dark, gets a little brighter in the day but not that much really. I found it easier on the mind in the winter then the summer. easier to sleep as well. Oh yeah, it get F***in cold in the winter too, so yeha, go in the summer. Its a nice city to take a walk in, i think i saw one museum there, but didn;t go inside . I am sure that your family can tell you whats there is to se around there.

Dude I envy you I love the wilderness and it looks like it has a lot of it, have a blast!!!

 

On the road trip to Whitehorse, youll be goin by a place called Teslin. yes i know of the Bigfoot sightings, blah blah blah... Anyways, there is a restruant called Mukaluck Annies, on the right side of highway. Go there for some kik *** Sammon steaks! They are cuaght fresh each day and are either 1/2 or 1 lbs meal, cheap compaired to edmonton prices too. They are so amazingily good, im thinking of going back to whitehorse just to go there for a nice lunch again... And have a fun trip to Whitehorse also, I had a great time up there for 2 weeks. i just looked around and went to places that my parents went to long time ago when they lived up there.

 

unfortunatly i'm flying. i was so up to driving thier.
