So last night I got my D-Link 1102 in for my VOIP that all works great, my interent everything no isssues at all.. My issue comes in with trying to play Tiger Woods online with direct Ip worked fine previous night but now won't work if I host a game it says "not able to create game name or it's already in use" which it isn't cause it just a bunch random characters... If I click join game still no go cause it says "other player isn't hosting a game" when he is.. He does have VOIP gateway as well, which is the D-Link DVG-1120.. I tried getting into the Web tools for the router but says enter password which I don't have and admin/admin doesn't work... How can I bypass this or reset it since the reset seems to be disabled...??

Thanks

for the router try just admin as the user name and no password if that dosent work use admin as the password and no user name

go to the d-link sight and check there faq
i know for allowing in you need to open ports
and you need to know which ones to open and there are sites that list port address for this
also check the game sites faq for the ports they use

Yeah, done all the above and talked with the Voip company as well that didn't go very far, I have emailed D-link but still waiting... I just assumed other on this board would be using Voip as well and possibly ran into the same issue.. I have the ports I need to keep open and have tried doing so.. but still didn't change.

The best thing for VOIP is to use a standard 54g Linksys router with a modified code. I use it on mine and it has packet shaper for the VOIP so it reserves just enough bandwidth for the VOIP to function without pixelation or dropping and leaves the rest of your bandwidth untouched and seperate

^^^Modified code?? Yeah I might just get basic 4 port router from staples it's 39$... and u can just turn off the firewall which is all I need.. I have the "software" firewalls up and working fine thus far... Soo would be my best bet.!

Thanks for the info guys!

Yes a modified code. There are some available out there or write your own if you know how. I havent seen any code that isnt for the Linksys 54G wireless unit but I am sure they are out there. Just google for firmware and packet shaper
