Misplaced the comma and left out a zero.
Economic car + Many engine mods = uneconomic car
..well, for the most part.
Look for a mid-80's turbo dodge
well, that's not for everyone either.
Pick up a copy of Lemon-Aid or used car guide and do yourself some research.
A Corrado VR6 wouldn't be a bad choice IMO, but it's beyond your price range.
Cavalier maybe? A budget of 4k doesn't allow for much taste for 90's cars. Might want to get a mid/late 80's Honda (dare I say).
Hey, Toyota Cressida's are pimpin'!

I think if you want to spend around 4G on a car but you still have money left over (or will soon) to boost HP or purchase body kits, why not just put all the money into a reliable and already quick car. Wait for a good deal on a early 90's Civic Si, Prelude, Integra, etc. with low mileage. Then you have something that is fun to drive and reliable and you won't have to spend money on it to modify it. I would rather have a factory, reliable, low mileage car that is fun to drive than put a bunch of money into something that is old and high mileage with a body kit....
