Well I have a post up in DIY, so hopefully a few guys from there can help me out. I might have an idea though.

Sub to the front, and port to the side (against the wall). Or would port up work? Port up would be a lot easier.

Lightbulb

Now that's a big box......

5' X 2' X 2' = 20cuft. I hope you have a dolly or something to move that puppy....it's gonna weigh a ton.....

I would still fire the port to the rear if you can.....or to the side if it's going in a corner......

a love seat that's two feet off the ground?

actualy.. that that I think of it.. the love seat that we have is sitting on cinderblocks for legs. They could easily be swapped out for a set of 12"s..

thanks for the tip

And now that I think of it further... I feel bad for the tenants downstairs.. hahaha

it sounds freakin great!

gets the lows like nobody's buisness. At some notes I actually get bounced up and down by the floor. As for weight.. Well there was some nice considerations for the enclosure design. The original plan was 3/4" MDF doubled up, but I found some 15 mm (9/16") Baltic Birtch plywood at work. So I used that, and braced her up. I'd say with the 28 pound woofer it would scale in at about 175-225.
