same with ontario i belive. carpet can conduct electricity ... so you could electricut(sp) yoursef i guess

vinyl. easy, cheap, looks good enuf, not as bone chilling as tile and infinitely easier than tile.

Found out Ralph was doing his shower. For that, tile is acceptable

It is against code to use carpet in the bathroom???????Sounds lika a strange code to me. Not that I would use carpet inthe bathroom though...

Vinyl (Linoleum) is great....but if must use ceramic tile then go all out and install radiant floor heating. Or if you have gobs of cash to burn use marble.

I think it mostly has to do with mold. I was walking down the street and noticed a house that was unfit for habitation. On the paperwork on the door, having carpet in the bathroom was one of the reasons it was deemed unsafe.

That's odd. My parents one bathroom in their farmhouse has had carpet for as long as I remember. I gotta check into that and see what that's all about.

Tile is bitchin' in the bathroom, ya just have to remember to install the heated flooring. I don't think it's really all that expensive, and dangit if it isn't super nice to walk into there in the morning.
