I picked up Halo 2 today... if anyone cares.

I figured there would be a thread discussing this soon enough. So I made one.
I waited in line for about 2 hours in the cold to get my copy. I had a collectors edition on reserve. So I could have gotten it no matter what. But, if I wanted it at 12:01 AM I had to line up with the rest of the geeks. And let me tell you there were some geeky dudes there! It amazes me how dorky some people can be. I'd say once midnight rolled around there were probably 100+ people outside of Gamestop waiting. I was sixth in line so I was in with the first group. And out in 2 minutes since I had it all paid for. It was great walking back out past the people that didn't have reserves. They were all cold and shivering. lol!
Anyway, I played through probably the first three levels. And all I can say is "wow". I am stunned at how beautifully this game has turned out. Everything that was great about the first game returns. As well as everything that was bad has been fixed. I can't score it yet as I've only played a few levels. But, if what I have seen so far is a sign of things to come. I am so excited to play more. I can't wait to check out the bonus DVD that came with it as well. I'd talk about the game but, there is too much to say. And I don't want to spoil anything. Did anyone else pick this up yet? And if you did, did you play much farther than the first few levels? I am sure within the day a few people will have gotten their hands on it.

The only thing i waited in line for generally was to see Episode 1 lol (Star wars).
However i was watchin one of the late late shows at 3am and they were doin live coverage at time square of ppl in line n some dude spent like 6 months on makin a halo costume, it looked mint and i dont even like halo.
One of my friends mentioned at Market Mall people were campin out all day out front of EB Games in Calgary, any calgarians know if EB was sellin at midnight as well or were they able to kick ppl out at close and they could venture back in the am? [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]
