Heya people, i'm bout ready to purchase my tv:
See Tv Here Question is, being about 60" wide and weigh'n about 100lbs it's a tough carry, not to mention an impossible fit into my grand cherokee (doh). Is it normally up to the cx to figure out how to get that home or do they deliver? Or is it only off the website that they'll deliver it (i know i've seen that somewhere) |
Nice TV. I don't know about that store because we don't have them down in teh good old USA. But, i had to say the TV is awesome!
|
Yes they deliver for a fee.
|
IF YOU CAN ORDER ONLINE ALOT OF THE TIME IT HAS FREE DELIVERY
|
hmm doh, after i wrote that i ended up stopping in FS on my rounds to see who had the best price.
Turns out they use a third party shippin company that'll deliver for a flat fee of $50, basically remove your old tv and put the new one where you want. Won't touch any cables. That might not be bad as i don't have a truck or similar unfortunate. |
They delivered my TV for free IIRC. Its a 51" wide screen Sony rear projection.
|
I'd pay the 50 easily. Those things are heavy! My 32 inch HDTV is 167lbs. I almost broke my back bringing it inside and lifting it up onto the stand!
|
doh - bootleg guy your private mail is full!
167lbs...holy hell, this thing is only 100lbs and no idea how much the stand is..probably over 100lbs. |
A front projector is much lighter (typically less than 8-10 pounds). Can project a much bigger picture (up to 100 inches or so) if you have depth in your room. However, you must be able to control ambient light.

Yeah weigh isn't a big deal, i can handle lifting that silly thing around. Can't be any worse than carrying 1" thick slate around arg. Heaviest thing i've ever had to lift in my life i think.
