Yes...I have been demoted from ***-man at work already....by my own doing....and happy as all hell about it.... [img]graemlins/beer.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/jammin.gif[/img]
In the 4 monthes of the position, I dealt with everything from pain in the *** customers to "not"(ha!)being accused of stealing from the cash box!
I finally told them once and for all to go find someone else to do the job...and they did...
I wish him luck...but I have my doubts it will work...I hope I'm wrong for his sake and everyone elses.. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
No more having to be there 1/2 hr before and half hour after...ON MY OWN TIME!!
No more having to answer for everybodies last movement!
No more phone calls at 3 am because a mouse ran across the floor and set off the motion sensor/alarm(it really happened)!
The only thing that really sux is the fact that my schedule has been shifted to this total suckass arrangement..it looks like I will be working Saturdays and Sundays for a while...YEA!!Even less time to have a life!!But I guess I gotta take the bad with the good... [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

Yea well that depends... a demotion with less responsibility and no cutt in pay might not be a bad thing... especially if you arnt going anywhere with that job anyway...
working an extra hour a day with no pay... F that.. Id tell em to shove it or give me a raise...

And people wonder what is happening to the hard working society? Seems like everyone wants to to absolutley nothing but expect everything. Its astonishing really.

I'll put it in these terms...
$1/hr extra
My position as shifty included:
Manager's duties(paperwork,etc)
working an hour per day unpayed
I wasnt allowed to call in sick when I was truly honestly legit ill...unless the other shifty who could never be reached,would go in for me...
I did the recieving end of the shipping recieving
I was cashiers assist. when things went wrong
I was to be at ready call 24/7 if the alarm went off(the other 2 mangers/shiftys live a 5 min walk...I live a 20 min drive!)
If something wasnt done,I was to have a very good reason for it
Train new counter staff(in some cases,babysit them)
and much much more...
Oh yeah...I also has to perform my standard parts counter duties in amongst all the other running around....
...for a whole $1/hr more!!
Oh yeah...it was soooo worth it... [img]graemlins/jack.gif[/img]
