Key won't turn in ignition (thoughts?)
Hey Folks,
A friend has a Chevrolet? Optra, fairly new, lease is coming up soon Last night she was gonna run out n grab something, but the key wouldn't turn in the ignition. Everything seemed normal, but it was like, she had a key that didn't work in the car, or like maybe the steering wheel was locked. You could turn the steering wheel, and the auxillary lights or whatever came on as soon as you put the key in, but you couldn't turn it forward or back (if there is a back to accessory or something). I tried jiggling it a while, playin with the steering wheel as i tried to turn either way as if it was just a shady key, but nothing. I even tried giving it a lil slap n tickle, but the car wasn't showing any love.
Any thoughts on why or what might cause this? It worked earlier on in the day when she hit the grocery store and now nothing.
Thoughts on possible issues?
I'm gonna have her try another key, though i doubt thats the issue.

Update, spare key worked.....guess the key is just getting worn out...which is kinda sad, considering the car is only a couple years old i think. But oh well, less stress than needing to get the car to the dealer or a locksmith or something.
