laptop ..getting data off it...

laptop ..getting data off it...

I have a IBM thinkpad T23 laptop..it died...motherboard is gone..well the harddrive is still good..and i have my stuff on there..is there anyway to get it out..? my brother tried plugging the harddrive into his laptop...n it wouldn't fit...his being a compaq...i'm not sure but will 2.5" HDD enclosures work..? if not..does nyone have any ideas..? thnx...

2.5" HD enclosure, or they have a cheap 44 pin IDE cable to 40 pin laptop cable, so you can run that 2.5" HD in your desktop machine.

Yeah i picked one of thoes up about a month ago. I had the same problem. My laptop Litterly caught on fire, but the HD was good. So i paid 19 bucks for an adaptor. Worked GREAT! I know they're like 6 bucks normally, but it was the only one i could find, buddy kinda had my nuts in a vise
