There's a College and a University,
cool clubs like ^the drink,
nice new arena downtown with concerts, wrestling, jrA hockey, etc.
Fairly good shopping, and the place is growing like crazy at the north and south ends.

The drink isn't all that "hot", most of the people here goto Gts, HillBilly Bob's, alot of bars down Richmond St which is pretty much the main road with all the bars... there's a good dozen_+ oh yeah there's the Rippers "solid Golds"...
Not much scheduled in Sept at the JLC JLC schedule , presuming you're trip is in Sept.
Also, here's a link to the London newspaper. LFPress They will have articles on upcoming events.
Although I haven't done the bar scene in London for quite a while now, I seem to recall having a good time at 'Call the Office'.
