yeah man^ I used to have 4 cars myself.. it was nothing special at all.. a camaro.. chevelle.. s10 and an old '38 chevy halfton. It was a problem since I had no place to put them. Just by myself.. I had no use for all three.
BTW... Tyler you should fix the rust on your Cavi.. it would be way nicer of a car if it was rust free. |
like why spend money on a used truck.... and not get the cavi fixed..... hrmmmmmmm
|

also if i can get the truck road ready. then i will start strippin the cavy. hmm but then that will make competeing next season a no go... i'm willing to risk it for the better of the car.

Gotta love a Chevy man
I'm part of a Chevy crowd too. Yep, we're all in the business too. I drive Chevy's, my brother, our old mechanic, our old old mechanic, our new mechanic, etc. It's a requirement! ;) But I don't diss Ford, on the contrary, running an auto-electic business, I wouldn't be in business if it wasn't for Ford. I've had... lessee... Off the top of my head, a 79 Monza Spyder (my favorite car ever!), another Monza, an 86 Cavalier, a 73 bullet proof 3/4 ton, an 86 3/4 ton with 640,000 kliks on her when the FD pulled her off the roads... OH! There's a story for ya... (yell at me if I "stole" your thread and I'll start a different one or something) So I had my old work truck, 86 Chevy 3/4 ton on propane. For the last 200,000 kliks or so, the plug for the propane's fuel gauge sending unit was all rusty... Didn't work of course, leaked slightly for years... So I was at my shop late one rainy night, about 10 or 11, playing Interstate '76 on my PC. This was about 7 years ago... I hear a noise outside, get up to go see, and there's some customers standing around on the driveway, with a tow truck, dropping off a vehicle. I quickly dove back into my office. About an hour later, amid the sounds of my game, I hear another thump or two, look up, and can see flashing red lights coming through the cracks in the doorway of my office. "WTF"... So I walk out into the showroom, and see that the Fire Department has the street closed off, and they've got two huge torches setup in the middle of the street, hoses running to the propane tank on my truck, burning off all my propane. "Holy...... Crap......" Due to the rain on the rusty plug on the propane tank, the customers that had dropped off their car had heard the tiny leak bubbling, so called the FD. FD had to burn it all off, I had just filled up, took them four or five hours. I was ****tin' bricks, thinking I'd get some massive 5 digit fine or something. "Fine? Nope, there's no fine. Your taxes pay for us. Just, if you expect to put the truck on the road again, expect to be pulled over and inspected." So we bought my current van, Thunderbeat, a week later |
ouch that suck's. the good thing is i know this truck like i know my ipod. this truck has been in the family for countless year's. it has never let us down.
