i'm just heading out now to pick up my new cell phone...haven't been shopping for one in over 3 years, and i've been using this old POS that finally died last week. so my buddy hooked my up with (what i think) is a pretty sweet deal....
the phone: http://www.bell.ca/shop/en_CA_AB/613...ails?tab=SPECS and the plan: - through BELL - $35 /month (no hidden fees) - 350 mins - free even & wknds (start @ 6pm, end at 8am) - free call display - free voice mail - unlimited text message - unlimited mobile internet browser - no activation fee - 3 year contract ($99 opt out fee) - free phone (above) - long dist in canada --> $0.10/min like i said...can't really tell if this is a good deal or not cause i haven't been phone shopping in a while...what do you guy think? |
Ill be honest man I have that phone and its a POS! Try to return it and buy a Samsung if you can it costs more but its totally worth it.

All the options you got seem quite good. Probably got a good deal for the 3 year signing. That is awfully long. I had a 1 year or 2 year option. 3 years wasn't even offered to me.

x3 ...I had that phone returned it in 2 weeks cuz I could get no reception...got a samsung a660 instead ..love it cept u can't hear the ringer.
Woulda got a samsung camera phone but I have a nice digital camera and I figure its just more that can go wrong with the phone. |
audiovox is like the yugo of the cell market. sounds like a deadly plan tho.

Plan looks good, but you may be better off opting out of the contract. Just think about how big a piece of junk your phone will be in 3 years. I've had mine for not even a year and it is starting to act up. It is in for warranty right now. The $99 will save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

you can always swap phones and keep teh contract soudns liek a good deal

I had an AudioVox. It was the worlds largest POS. I love my LG5550. I get reception everywhere. It is a little pricey. I would look at a Samsung or an LG. Really I would not get any current phone that is not using the Qualcomm chip set

go gsm.. go rogers...
go to ebay and buy an unlocked phone http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...779778900&rd=1 somthing like this... may sound expensive now.. but you don't have to worry about a contract.. and the features it has will definitly get you through the next 3 years (my buddy has a 2gb memory stick duo.. watches movies.. plays mp3s.. does absolutely anything and everything you could ever want from a phone and more!!) also plays live tv when it becomes available in canada |
