Need a sub for the home stereo which?
i'm not smart enough to build my own setup (in buyin amp/sub seperate and building box etc), don't trust myself to build my own box, nor do i care to put that kinda effort into thigs - aka i'd rather purchase something already made
call me lazy.
That paradigm does seem to be getting good reviews....anyone have any guesstimates of a price on it? in canadian dollars? I think it'll be around $800 at least or so. But if thats what it takes, that may be what it takes, i know a guy that deals paradigm, so i can probable get a solid deal from him (maybe cost+10% or similar).

The two home theatre woofers that impressed me the most were the AR 8" that I used to sell at Visions and the Definitive 10" that I sold at another shop.
Both woofers far outperformed their small size. One of either would fill a decent size room with real low end with ease. In fact I would take 2 of either before a larger unit if more output was desired. Both sold in the $300-$350 range IIRC too.

I have the AR PS2262 towers with a AR S112PS sub both from the Performance Series.
I am very happy with both.

And you gain the most output by stacking the subs together. However, if you want to smooth out the room response (get rid dead spots) then place them in different locations.
