New here, me and my ride!
Hey, Im mike, and i run the JDM Toyota Owners Club, but my current winter daily driver is a 1990 VW Jetta (Mk2) TurboDiesel.
The engine is fully rebuilt, new cylinder head and all accessories replaced..
I Just received my Pioneer P800PRS Head unit, to replace my junky one.. Ive got the best RCAs KNU makes, and a JLAudio 300/4v2 Amp mounted in the trunk, which i am currently using to drive my JL Audio ZR Series 5.25 Components in the doors, which were stripped and dynamatted (about 8 square feet per door).
The rears are DigitalDesigns 6x9s in carpeted boxes on the rear shelf, all re-run with 14 gauge double insulated speaker wire.
I have the entire trunk ripped to bare metal. I removed the rear seats and dynamatted under them on the floor, and coated basically the entire trunk, the rear panels of the seats, the roof of the trunk under the rear parcel shelf etc.. and wrapped as much as i could reach/roll into the quarterpanels...
Im going to be adding some more but theres about 15 or so square feet back there right now.
I intend on using a single sub (12w7 or equivalent) in a custom box that fits behind the rear seats in the trunk space... the centre arm rest folds down and im cutting it out behind and installing a polycarb window and some LEDs to watch the sub.
Still shopping for the sub and amp, i'd like a JL audio combo but theyre so expensive.. I was considering an Elemental Designs sub and amp setup... not sure..

I just finished an install in my brothers '03 Jetta TDI last Saturday. I have never seen so many plastic trim panels in one car in my life! I put a JVC KD-AVX11, 2 Alpine amps and a set of Type R 6.5" in the front doors. Just need to add sub.
