Okay so I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I'm looking at putting an exhaust kit on it. So far I've looked at catback exhaust kit from Borla, Magnaflow and JPA. Any opinons on these, sound-wise, performance-wise, and price-wise. Also, are there any other brands I should consider (that supply kits for my vehicle)?

 

what engine? 6 or 8cylinder

flowmaster... sounds like crap.. and EVERYONE has them

you have a grinder/sawzall and access to a welder?

 

It's the 5.2L Magnum V8, I was considering MAYBE going with Flowmaster, but it's most likely that I won't. Yeah I do have access to that. Also a lathe, milling machine, cutoff wheel, band saw...

Depends what sound your looking for, but Im a big fan of dynomax super turbo exhaust because it sounds pretty low and aggressive but its not overly loud which imo is a good thing.

 

i know flowmaster actually adds hp. it added 7 horse power to my 5.0 litre gmc.

but it didnt do much for sound.

i like the sounds of magnaflow. but again everyone uses it. check out MBRP.

 

Yeah, my friend has a Flowmaster exhaust, I've seen lots of Flowmaster and Magnaflow systems out there and that's partially why I wanted to go with a Borla exhaust but I'm not sure how well it performs against the Magnaflow.

I had a look at MBRP's exhaust kits but they don't offer one for my '95 Grand Cherokee.
