I don't believe it is owned by Pengrowth. They are an oil and gas energy trust. I believe they pay annual marketing/signage fees. I believe it is still owned by the Calgary Flames Limited Partnership.

Uuhh... wow, that isn't even close to being correct.

Pengrowth can just pay for the naming rights.

The Corel Center in Ottawa is owned by the Sens owner Eugene Melnick. Before that it was owned by a group of investors.

They just sold the naming rights to Corel. Corel has never owned the building. Probably the same thing that happened to the Saddledome.

HEY PROBITE! .. get your facts straight before you make yourself look VERY bad.

Maple Leaf Gardens hasn't changed. The building still exists and is still called the Gardens.

The Air Canada Center is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BUILDING.

Sure, the Leafs have moved and no longer play in the Gardens. But that doesn't mean the name of the building has changed.

(jordy this response wasnt about u man just liked your response to it)

Maple Leaf Gardens will forever be Maple Leaf Gardens I think they'll tear that building down before they ever change the name of it.
