Freaked me out as I was on a flight from Lisbon to Frankfurt last week and we had to land in Madrid due to a fire in the cabin.
It was VERY scary and once we landed, the scene was very similar to the one that occured last evening.

that guy must have been high as hell. cause if he was sober he would be way too nervous to land it that smoothly

 

Pilots are trained to land like that in just such an emergency.
Nice to know that this pilot looks like they made it to class that day!

 

I wonder which safety inspector lost his job that day?

Air bus... remember this and see if 5 years from now this is a trend
The old DC-8 had a bad rep due to too many of these issues

 

I know I would be ******* in my pants if I had to land a plane like that...Not just for myself BUT all the people behind me.Kids women and men.....
I say the guy is a HERO not too many people have that much on their shoulders and pull it out as well as he did.
I give him a BIG thumbs up!
