on the propane subject, in college we built a stroker motor for our instructors truck to run on propane. it rocked, 383 chev with stainless valves and hardend seats, 10.5:1 compression, nive high duration cam, and though, well, it is high octane, so we turbo charged it.
10.5:1 WITH 8psi of boost.
fun times were had by all.

Like the fact you can get better mileage as well.

www.dieseltrans.com , one of the best diesel tranny shops in norh america and they're in canada
also you will need more air to take advantage of that boxes power so that means a new turbo or egt's will be through the roof
and finally repeat after me "I am my own warerenty station"
the extra power is very addicting once you've had a taste you can't go back, but be warned it is also very expensive ......I've been through a lot of drivetrain parts on my truck
oh yeah and Edge products rule, I love my drag comp

10.5:1 and 5 lb of boost you should be fine. Even on premium gas you might be able to get away with that.
im going 8:1 and 30lb of boost....that project will take atleast another year though. And its gonna be an all summer driver. my daily driver gith now runs 18psi of boost on premium gas.
If anyone is ever looking for a turbo give me a shout I might have the right one for you at the right price.
350...you probobly looking at around a 1.5 a/r ratio for a single turbo.....or you could go dual .8 or .7....

There are such better ways to get reliable power out of diesels I don't know why anyone does propane.
Well, I actually do know, it's the same reason that people put NOS on stock sunfires </font>
truck has an engine made specificly for propane... jeez don't yeah know my dad used to be a back yard mehcanic. road runner those we're the days!!!! </font>
Easy there smart guy
Propane injection is a way of adding propane into a diesel engine to get more power. To incredibly dumb it down it's like NOS for diesel.
Dude across the road from the Totally Useless Animal Sanctuary is converting his 01 Powerstroke to run on Canola Oil. Free oil and about a g note for the conversion. He's converted one fuel tank to hold the Canola oil for operating the vehicle and will install a tidy tank next. The truck will still start using conventional diesel in tank 1. I'm watching to see how this goes. IIRC, the guys who are manufacturing this system live in Campbell River. My neighbour is being contracted to do the installs at his shop for the system so I am quite interested.
I can see it now, out plowing snow at McDonalds and I need some oil...
