but then i see people selling empty boxes on ebay and they too are going for 600-700 bucks, and they buy an empty box and they cant do nothing about it because it was stated in the description this is just the box..
haha that one made me laugh...

People trying to sell them for ridiculous money on this board are just getting their threads deleted...

Those losers can go a try to make a buck somewhere else.

 

My favourite is the guys selling email addresses like "PS3seller@hotmail.com" for hundreds of dollars, with a pic of a PS3 and a description of the PS3 in their auction, then the bottom line, in tiny print says that it's for the password to that email address.

 

People did this with all the systems. PS2, 360, PS3, and the Wii. What I find even funnier is that SONY came out before the launch making all this noise about the domination they would lay down on the console world and they've barely sold 500,000 as of right now. They also promised to have shipped 2,000,000 PS3's before the years' end. And at this point they'd need to get about 1.5 million out before the end of this month to meet that promise. And most people that buy them don't even want them, they want to sell them. A 600 dollars system and one game in the lineup worth having. SONY is definitely looking to lose it's chokehold on the gaming industry!

 

from that post i thought it sounded like he had 2 PS3's and he wanted a Wii.... unless i misread it

But yea its crazy, thats why i wait and buy when the price drops... i waited like a year or 2 before i got my xbox and i doubt ill be getting another gaming system for a few more years just because i dont play games enough to make it worth while to pay that much money for something.
