QUICK:connecting home sub to amp???
This may be really simple, but i've never done it before.
Purolator just dropped off me paradigm sub. I asked buddy to ship a cable along with it, and thus there's a single monsterbass subwoofer interconnect.
Problem is, rear of speaker has two left/right connects, one for low level input and one for high pass output. Obviously i need to be working with the input. But the sub has a L/R connection whereas the subwoofer interconnect is a single coax/rca type cable. On top of that the one channel (red) on the sub, does say LFE Sub in beside it. That mean i can just hook the single interconnect up to that channel and to the sub out on the receiver and thats all i need? don't have to use a L/R channel type configuration?

Hmm ok...yeah Hooked it up like that, it didn't work. Spent a while try'n to figure **** out, it's pretty simple, power and interconnect cable, no on/off switches or anything.
About ten minutes later, i realized i had to enable the sub on the receiver....and now it works

If only my landlord would leave then i could turn it up a lil more....

My place is Concreate all around it good 8-10" of it... sounds goes no where when I have my Vega E 715 home speakers it was loud as hell inside, but go outside you hears the music itself but next to nothing for bass.
yea ,,,my neighbors are starting a petition againt me cause i play my home system too loud........and the left and right on your receiver....if its like mine you can have a double bass system.....so 2 subs in stereo....
on a plus note, the stereo sounds really solid, i'm stoked about it. But i know it's rattling walls n stuff. I just dunno how loud is loud enough that they get annoyed up stairs. Generally we can have parties and they don't say much, but bass likes to rattle thru walls and a few times during movies they've said to keep to turn the main home stereo bass down a lil.
Mine is only turned up to like 2 or 3 outta 20 on my receiver and less than half up on the sub amp itself. So there's so much to go....maybe tommorrow they'll leave and now that it's partially broken in....about 5h playing time i can turn it up - i'm off all day tommorrow, only my brother to annoy

Best way to test is, go to the neigbours and just say " I want to make sure I don't distrub you, I am going to turn up my sytem to the level I like it at will you let me know if it's to loud or not" That way it shows more respect for them then u can adjust to a level you know you can always goto without someone bitching on you about it.
