often, in photoshop, what you can do is go up to the "image" drop down menu, and the go to "Canvas size" and increase your resolution, and if U can, use the trilinear filter on it, it does help a little, but not a lot.

The Canvas size option doesn't change the resolution though, it only makes the picture larger. with the same chunky results.

And what yo use in the movies is just not possible. all you can do with Photshop is clean it up, and smooth it out, but it will never look perfect. I belive the command yua re looking fro would be the blur filter.
